Two-year-old with same IQ as Einstein

Oscar Wrigley, a two-year-old with the same IQ as Albert Einstein and Stephen Hawking, has become the youngest boy in Britain to be accepted into Mensa.

Assessors at the Gifted Children's Information Centre in Solihull said Oscar, with an IQ of at least 160, is one of the brightest children they have every come across.

He has been ranked in the 99.99th percentile of the population and has been ranked off the scale as the Stanford-Binet test cannot measure higher than 160.

Oscar's father Joe, 29, an IT specialist from Reading in Berkshire, said: "Oscar was recently telling my wife about the reproductive cycle of penguins.

"He is always asking questions. Every parent likes to think their child was special but we knew there was something particularly remarkable about Oscar.

"I'm fully expecting the day to come when he turns around and tells me I'm an idiot."
Mother Hannah, 26, told The Daily Mail: "He amazes everyone. We knew at 12 weeks he was extremely bright. He was unusually alert."

Mrs Wrigley, a housewife, added: "His vocabulary is amazing. He's able to construct complex sentences.

"The other day he said to me, 'Mummy, sausages are like a party in my mouth'."

Dr Peter Congdon, who assessed Oscar, said he was a "child of very superior intelligence".

"His abilities fall well within the range sometimes referred to as intellectually gifted. He demonstrated outstanding ability," he said.

John Stevenage, Mensa's Chief Executive confirmed Oscar had been accepted aged two years, five months and 11 days.

"Oscar shows great potential. Converting that potential to achievement is the challenge for his parents and we are delighted that they have chosen to join the Mensa network for support", he said.

The youngest British child to join Mensa is Elise Tan Roberts, from Edmonton, North London, at two years, four months and 14 days, with an IQ of 156.

How come?He is two-year-old only!Why that's not me?!Haha!!

There are a lot of people have higher IQ than others on the world. If they use their talent on the things which good for the world, that's great. But if they not, that's a trouble.Everyone should use their talent in the right way. It's because talent of a people is a gift given by God.They should not use for doing wrong things.

On this case,we don't know what the boy will be in the future. But I'm quite worry about him. Many people focus on him since this moment. Will that make him have pressure in his childhood? Can he have a good environment that a child should have when he grew up?That's not only about good education.

By the way,I hope he has a wonderful childhood in his life and his IQ that same as Einstein doesn't get many troubles. Finally,he is really handsome and qute.He got a pair of beautiful blue eyes and beautiful color of his hair.I really want to have children which look like him in future. Please come true.HAHA!!

I read the news on the newspaper today.
An amazing boy with an IQ of 156, I hope he will be the next Einstein. Being a genius in nowadays is much better than the time which Einstein was, Einstein was descriminated by teachers and others.
On the countrary, little Oscar have already focused by people in Britain, he may then get the best education and achieve success easily without the harsh scientific pathway as Einstein.

It is unbelievable that a 2 years old boy has the same IQ as Albert Einstein and Stephen Hawking. Probably is because his father, who is an IT specialist, has passed the excellent genes to his son, and makes him become a genius.

As Ruby said that everyone should use their talent in a right way. Otherwise, it may cause disasters. Moreover, the bible says that we are to use our different gifts in accordance with the grace that God has given us, and that everyone should make good use of their talent.

Take for instance, Albert Einstein contributions to physics include the theories of relativity, Newton discovered the existence of gravity, etc. These people make good use of their talent and change the world.

But for Osama bin Laden, I think he does have a high IQ level. However, they are wrongly used. As he successfully hijacked 4 planes and attacked the United States on 11th September, which caused an enormous loss to the country.

Summing up the above, I think it is crucial for us to make good use of our talent, in a suitable way but not a way that cause disasters.

I hope this child can receive a great success and be the next Einstein in future.

I am so surprised that a two-year-old, Oscar Wrigley, can have the same IQ as Albert Einstein and Stephen Hawking. I am so jealous of his outstanding IQ.

I also think that is a gift from god. He should make good use of his talent. His superior intelligence will be a great benefit to all of us.

Also, his parents must be very proud of his son. This is a unexpected gift for Oscar Wrigley's parents.

Bryan, it is good for you to point out that people should use their talents in the right way, but this is not always the case.
Ruby, those who have gained public attention will be pressurised to do what they are supposed to do. This may be disastrous to them, and this may affect their future.
Dora, our society do not always accept people who are not conforming to the norm. If you are different, you are weird. Let's hope things will turn out good.
Jessica, this child is like parents' ultimate dream. All parents want their children to be special, and this case is what dream come true.

It is very amazing, I wonder how can the boy learn talking before two year old, how can he know so much vocabularies, and how did his parents find out that their son is a genius. I really admire him because he has a great talent. He is a lucky boy as it is quite rare to have such things. I have heard that when one has a high ability he have to contribute more. Every will have expectation on him too, he will be living in a high pressure atmosphere, he may or may not be happy in his life. Things have two side to see, positive and negative, things will get better if you thing it in a good way, however,if you think it will be become worse than things usually become worse. It is quite important that how do you think, your mind is very important and it always change the conclusion.
I hope this kid can have a happy, wonderful and meaningful life.
